Committee/Volunteer Opportunities

 

Several AFP-IC committees are looking for eager and willing volunteers.  If you are looking to get more involved in what the chapter does or you’re looking for ways to connect with other fundraising professionals, please consider joining a committee.  If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please contact Sara Nash, Chapter Administrator, at afpic@nashams.com or (317) 824-0940.

Brown Bag Series Committee
Reports to:  VP Programs
Chair:  Sally Zelonis, CFRE
The Brown Bag Series Committee identifies the topics and facilitators for each of the monthly brown bag programs as well as assists with the execution of the programs.

Communications Committee
Reports to:  VP Communications
Chair:  Brandi Young
The communications committee oversees interanal and external communications for the chapter, including the monthly newsletter, social media and press releases.

Finance Committee
Reports to:  VP Finance
Chair:  Kelly Shrock, CFRE
The finance committee reviews the financial accounts of the association, including investment and Johnson Fund, and makes recommendations as needed.

Membership Committee
Reports to:  VP Membership
Co-Chairs:  Elisa Rogowski, CFRE
The membership committee is responsible for several membership efforts such as recruitment, retention, the mentoring program, scholarships and volunteer placement.

Nominating Committee
Reports to:  Immediate Past President
Chair: Nathan Hand
The nominating committee is responsible for identifying and setting the slate for the AFP-IC Board.

Philanthropy Awards Dinner Committee
Reports to:  VP Philanthropy Awards and Spring Conference
Chair:  Stacy Traylor
The Philathropy Awards Dinner committees is responsible for all facets the awards process as well as the dinner where the recipients are recognized.  This includes nominations, judging, marketing, and logistics.

Programs Committee
Reports to:  VP Programs
Chair:  Dan Hartmann, CFRE
The programs committee identifies the monthly program topics and speakers as well as executes each of the luncheon programs.

Scholarship Committee
Reports to:  VP Membership
Chair:  Julia Holbrook, CFRE
The scholarship committee is responsible for promoting of, reviewing, and selecting the scholarship recipients.

Sponsorship Committee
Reports to VP Resource Development
Chair:  Andrew Baker
The sponsorship committee identifies potential sponsors as well as makes contact with and secures sponsors.  Sponsorships are utilized for annual chapter programming, Spring Conference, Philanthropy Awards and other areas as necessary.

Spring Conference Committee
Reports:  VP Philanthropy Awards and Spring Conference
Chair:  Stacy Traylor
The spring conference committee works with all facets in the executiion of the Spring Conference.
